About the role
Lead a small team in Brendale, QLD, managing warehouse ops and supporting loyal trade customers. Mix of hands-on and phone/email work. Perfect for someone with automotive parts experience looking for stable hours and great work-life balance.
Duties
- Coordinate the daily operations of a small 3-person branch team in Brendale, QLD, ensuring smooth handling of both warehouse and customer service functions.
- Manage the receiving, dispatching, and inventory of automotive paint and parts, including Bersons and other trade-related items.
- Interpret customer needs and assist with accurate parts/product selection via phone and email—interacting with around 10 core trade customers.
- Balance responsibilities between customer communication (60% phone/email) and in-store/warehouse support (40%).
- Process incoming and outgoing orders, ensuring accuracy and timely dispatch to local customers.
- Maintain a clean, organised warehouse while monitoring and managing stock levels effectively.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable support and quick turnaround times to trade customers, building strong ongoing relationships.
- Troubleshoot product or delivery issues and escalate when necessary to maintain service standards.
- Use internal systems for order processing, inventory tracking, and customer interactions.
- Work a consistent Monday to Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, contributing to a supportive and efficient branch environment.
Skills and experience
- Experience in automotive parts interpretation (dealer, aftermarket or similar trade environments)
- Strong understanding of automotive parts, consumables, and paint-related products
- Confident managing both phone/email communication and hands-on warehouse tasks
- Reliable, organised, and proactive in running daily warehouse operations
- Excellent attention to detail when picking, packing, and dispatching orders
- Comfortable working in a small, close-knit team
- Good communication skills and a helpful, customer-first attitude
- Computer-literate and confident using inventory/order management systems
- Forklift licence preferred but not essential
- Must be based near or able to reliably travel to Brendale QLD
