About the role
We’re seeking a confident and capable Technical Trainer to lead practical training sessions and support technician development across the network.
Duties
- Deliver clear, hands-on technical training to dealer and fleet technicians across new models, systems, and diagnostic procedures
- Develop and refine training sessions that are practical, engaging, and relevant to workshop operations
- Work closely with Technical Support and Product teams to stay across product updates and translate them into effective learning outcomes
- Prepare and maintain course content, reference materials, and supporting documentation
- Coordinate training schedules with dealers and fleet customers, managing enrolments and logistics
- Provide ongoing mentoring and guidance to apprentices and technicians to build confidence and capability
- Gather and review participant feedback to improve training quality and consistency
- Assist with vehicle troubleshooting, Skills Competitions, and technical events when required
- Maintain accurate training records and support general administrative tasks within the Technical Department
Skills and experience
- Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Light Vehicle Technicians with strong diagnostics experience considered)
- Solid experience in diagnostics, fault finding, and modern vehicle systems
- Confident communicator able to engage groups and explain technical information clearly
- Strong customer focus with a professional, approachable manner
- Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116) or willingness to complete
- Organised and self-motivated, able to manage multiple training priorities
- Willingness to travel for regional and interstate training when required
- Current Heavy Vehicle Driver’s Licence (or ability to obtain)
