About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced panel beater to join the team in their busy family owned panel shop in Moorooka. This is a great opportunity to join a team that values your contribution and doesn’t micromanage your performance; this isn’t a high volume, low quality environment, this is a business that prides itself on quality of work and getting the job done right the first time around. Duties
- Perform all aspects of panel beating and smash repair work to a high standard
- Carry out structural repairs and chassis aligning
- Handle major smash repairs (including heavy damage vehicles)
- Work closely with the head panel beater on large and complex jobs
- Assist with other workshop tasks as needed (team player attitude is essential)
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Deliver quality repairs that meet customer and insurer expectations
Skills and experience
- Proven experience in all elements of panel beating
- Strong skills in chassis aligning and structural repairs
- Experience with major smash repairs
- Reliable, team-oriented attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Ability to work well in a small, close-knit team
- EV (Electric Vehicle) repair qualifications or experience is highly regarded
- Trade qualification in panel beating
