About the role
Just Automotive Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanic (Diesel Tuning) to lead workshop operations and deliver high-quality performance upgrades and diagnostics.
Duties
- Perform diesel tuning, upgrades, and performance modifications (injectors, turbos, clutches)
- Diagnose faults and provide effective mechanical solutions
- Flash tuning files and collect/send vehicle data for revisions
- Assist in workshop coordination and support junior technicians
- Engage with customers for day-to-day technical discussions
- Operate or learn dyno testing (training provided)
Skills and experience
- Strong background in diesel mechanics, ideally within performance or 4×4 environments
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think outside the box and create custom solutions
- Experience with computer systems and vehicle software
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Comfortable working in a team and mentoring others
- Previous experience in independent or dealership workshops advantageous
