About the company
Our client is an established transport business operating a large fleet across multiple workshops. With a team of around 50 maintenance personnel, the business offers a supportive environment with structured training and opportunities to develop technical skills.
About the role
Just Automotive Recruitment is searching for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join the maintenance team, primarily servicing and maintaining prime movers and Euro 6 heavy vehicles.
Duties
- Carry out servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on heavy vehicles
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across prime movers
- Perform maintenance and repairs to ensure vehicles remain safe and operational
- Attend breakdowns and assist with out-of-hours maintenance when required
- Follow relevant heavy vehicle and dangerous goods legislation and safety requirements
Skills and experience
- Heavy Vehicle Mechanical trade qualification
- Previous heavy vehicle mechanical experience, preferably with truck/prime mover experience
- Experience with modern Euro 6 trucks is highly regarded
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills are advantageous
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new systems and equipment
