Light Vehicle Mechanic – Newcastle, NSW 

• Up to $45/hr + guaranteed 1 hr OT daily at penalty rates + tool allowance

About the role 
Just Automotive Recruitment is seeking an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic for a workshop based in Newcastle (Sandgate), NSW. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work independently on a diverse range of vehicles while delivering high-quality servicing, diagnostics and repairs. 
  
Duties  

• Perform logbook servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs on a range of light vehicles. 
• Diagnose faults and conduct repairs on brake, suspension and related systems. 
• Complete vehicle inspections and identify maintenance requirements. 
• Carry out wheel alignments and tyre-related services where required. 
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards. 

Skills and experience 

• Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic with at least 2 years post-apprenticeship experience. 
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities. 
• Ability to work independently and manage workshop responsibilities. 
• Experience working across various vehicle makes and models
• Pink Slip inspection accreditation or willingness to obtain; wheel alignment experience highly regarded or training will be provided
