About the role
This is a rare opportunity for a motivated and results-driven individual to take the helm of a successful dealership. As General Manager, you will be responsible for directing and supervising the staff and day-to-day operations of the dealership, ensuring quality customer service, and achieving sales and productivity goals. You will lead a high-performing team, develop and execute strategic plans for growth, and ensure an outstanding customer experience.
You are a seasoned professional with extensive experience in automotive dealership management. You have a proven track record of success in leading teams, driving results, and fostering a high-performance culture. Your background in both sales and aftersales, combined with your strong leadership skills, makes you the ideal candidate to take this dealership to new heights.
Duties
- Drive Dealership Performance: Achieve financial, market share, and volume targets across all departments, including sales, parts, service, and administration.
- Leadership & Team Development: Coach, mentor, and develop all team members to build an effective and motivated workforce. Ensure all employees have adequate training for their responsibilities.
- Customer & Supplier Relations: Maintain courteous communication with customers and suppliers, ensuring all interactions reflect our commitment to excellence.
- Operational Management: Oversee all dealership operations, including enforcing HR and WHS policies, managing departmental budgets, and ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
- Sales & Marketing Strategy: Lead the sales department to achieve its targets, monitor market trends, and develop long-term strategies for sales growth. Approve all sales and ensure compliance with OH&S specifications.
- Parts & Service Oversight: Ensure the parts and service departments are operating efficiently, supporting marketing programs, and complying with all WHS regulations.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role within a dealership.
- Strong understanding of all aspects of sales, parts, and service operations.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage a range of managerial tasks.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Current and valid driver’s class ‘C’ license.
