Diagnostic Coordinator (OEM Technical Support) – Miranda, NSW

About the role 
This is an outstanding opportunity to step into a highly desirable technical support position with a leading commercial vehicle OEM. As Diagnostic Coordinator, you will move off the tools (or from a service advisor role) into a professional office-based environment where your diagnostic expertise directly supports the national dealer network.

Duties 

• Provide first-line phone and email diagnostic and technical support to the dealer network, guiding technicians through fault finding, wiring diagrams, scan-tool data and repair procedures.
• Manage technical cases through to resolution using the company’s assist/portal systems, ensuring accurate documentation and timely closure.
• Prepare clear technical reports and, when required, assist with the creation or distribution of technical bulletins.
• Coordinate parts returns to the factory, including pick-and-pack activities.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and feeding insights back to relevant internal teams.
• Maintain high standards of professional communication and presentation in all dealer and internal interactions.
• Occasional interstate travel may be required; the majority of work is office- or home-based.

Skills and experience 

• Solid hands-on diagnostic experience (ideally 5+ years as a light- or heavy-vehicle technician) with strong proficiency in wiring diagrams, scan tools and complex fault diagnosis.
• Excellent organisational skills, customer-service orientation and the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally (both written and verbal).
• Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, accurate typing of technical reports, and the ability to work efficiently in online portals and email.
• Current driver’s licence, Heavy vehicle would be a plus.
• Ability to work autonomously (required for the hybrid arrangement) while remaining a collaborative team member.
• Police check is mandatory. (We complete this on your behalf)
