About The Role
Join a growing and well-established business in Sumner, QLD as a Diesel Fitter/Mechanic. If you’re a qualified Diesel Mechanic with a passion for maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles, trailers, and equipment, this is the perfect role for you!
Skills And Experience
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic with a Trade Certificate
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with heavy trucks, trailers, and other equipment
- Strong knowledge of workshop and transport operations
- Good record-keeping and communication skills
- Basic computer skills and a proactive attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations
Duties
- Perform scheduled servicing, repairs, and maintenance on heavy vehicles and equipment
- Conduct detailed inspections and preventive maintenance
- Keep accurate service records and perform minor fabrication tasks
- Attend breakdowns when required
- Assist with the implementation of the company’s Quality Management System
