This family owned diesel service centre have over 50 years of experience, specialising in diesel engine diagnostics, repairs and servicing. Based in Smithfield NSW, their modern, well equipped workshop is well known for providing a high level of customer service and a strong workplace culture with monthly incentives, team lunches and ongoing training and development.
About the role
An exciting new position for an experienced mechanic to join our client in Smithfield. Trade qualified mechanics from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply!
Duties
- Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests
- Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, faulty parts
- Complete vehicle test drive after works completed
- Comply with manufacturers, federal and state vehicle requirements
- Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions
- Participate in educational opportunities
- Perform general tasks such as cleaning and maintaining of facilities and equipment
- Comply with all OHS and other workplace safety
Skills and experience
- Trade qualification ESSENTIAL!
- Experience as a Diesel mechanic advantageous
- Experience on cars, 4WDs (SUVs), light & medium commercial vehicles of European, Japanese and Korean manufacturers
- Friendly, attention to detail, dependable, thoroughness, effective verbal communication, motivated, team player, organised, self motivated, work autonomously are qualities we are looking for.
