About the role
Based in Ingleburn, this role offers a mix of 50% field service and 50% after-hours breakdown work. Enjoy a $45/hour rate, with double-time pay for after-hours call-outs. Work a Monday-Friday shift with a week on/off on-call pattern. A trade vehicle is provided for the job.
Duties
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy vehicles
- Efficiently diagnose and rectify faults
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard, at the required level of efficiency including documentation
- Willing to work a fair amount of overtime when required
- The ability to work competently when unsupervised
- Be able to work on call
- Commitment to fixing right first time coupled with focus on customer satisfaction
Skills and experience
- Heavy vehicle qualification and experience essential
- Ability to follow diagnostic procedures with a problem-solving attitude
- Work unsupervised on breakdown calls
- Scan tool experience
- Mercedes Benz parts experience
- Freightliner experience preferred
