About the role
As a Manager – Service Controller, you’ll oversee repair authorizations, manage escalations, and optimize fleet utilization for a large vehicle operation. This dynamic role requires strong problem-solving skills, cost control expertise, and the ability to streamline processes while ensuring minimal downtime.

Duties

• Authorize repairs and manage escalations to minimize downtime for a large vehicle fleet.
• Optimize fleet utilization, ensuring efficient allocation and maintenance scheduling.
• Control costs and repairs, overseeing budgets and financial efficiency.
• Lead a small team, stepping in to cover absences when needed.
• Manage off-road vehicles, resolving issues for around 150 vehicles monthly.
• Improve processes and policies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Utilize Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Work with fleet management systems to track performance.
• Maintain strong relationships with service providers and internal teams.  

Skills and experience

• Fleet management or service coordination experience.
• Strong problem-solving and escalation management skills.
• Expertise in cost control and budget management.
• Proficiency in Excel (basic formulas, data analysis).
• Familiarity with fleet management systems.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Ability to streamline processes and improve policies.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
