About the role
As a master technician, you’ll play a crucial role in service department operations, ensuring vehicle concerns are accurately diagnosed and repaired to the highest standard. You will be responsible for guiding and mentoring the workshop team as well as liaising directly with the manufacturer for technical assistance when required.
Duties
- Carry out complex electrical and mechanical diagnosis & repairs
- Support, mentor and lead junior colleagues
- Utilise modern diagnostic equipment to aid in troubleshooting concerns
- Communicate directly with customers, providing expert guidance and support where required
- Collaborate with service, parts and sales teams, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Maintain workshop health and safety requirements at all times
Skills and experience
- Trade qualification and franchise main dealer experience essential
- Demonstratable fault finding skills & diagnostic strategy
- Proficient with electrical schematics, multi meter and oscilloscope usage
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Experience mentoring and leading other technicians
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Open to senior or master technicians irrespective of brand
- Visa holders with strong experience considered
