Mechanic – Dandenong, Victoria

About the role  
Seeking experienced heavy diesel mechanics, trucks and trailers. Handle repairs, servicing, and rebuilds in a supportive team. Flexible day or afternoon shifts with competitive pay. If you’re trade-qualified and experienced, apply now! 

Duties  

• Maintain and repair a range of trucks and trailers
• Handle general repairs, servicing, and minor maintenance 
• Support heavy repairs and rebuilds department 
• Trade qualified in heavy vehicle mechanics (light vehicle techs not considered at this stage) 
• Diagnostic experience is a bonus 
• Work within an experienced and supportive team
• Driver’s license preferred 
• Visa nomination transfer available for the right candidate 

Skills and experience 

• Trade-qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with proven experience in truck and trailer maintenance 
• Solid knowledge of heavy vehicle servicing and general mechanical repairs 
• Experience in engine and component rebuilds is highly regarded 
• Ability to work efficiently within a team of technicians, including mentoring apprentices 
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and fault-finding techniques (preferred but not essential) 
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
• Valid driver’s license (advantageous) 
• Willingness to relocate and eligible for visa nomination transfer if required 

Benefits 

• $40–$45/hr competitive pay 
• Monday to Friday schedule 
• Rostered Saturday (8am–12pm) every 5 weeks – must be available 
• Day shift: 8am–4:06pm | Afternoon shift: 2pm–10:06pm + 18% loading 
• Flexibility to choose day or arvo shift (arvo shift skips Saturday) 
• Visa nomination transfer available for the right candidate
