Mechanic (performance Workshop) – Marrickville, NSW 

• Work on Japanese, Euro & American performance vehicles

Our client is a well-established performance automotive workshop based in Marrickville. They specialize in high-performance upgrades, servicing, and mechanical work across a wide range of vehicles, from Japanese imports to European and American performance cars. 
  
About the role  
We’re looking for an experienced Performance Vehicle Technician who is genuinely excited by performance modifications and serious mechanical work. This is not your average general servicing role — you’ll be working on some of the best performance cars in Sydney, doing proper upgrades and repairs every day. You’ll get to work on a wide variety of exciting projects while also helping customers on the front counter. Duties 

• Perform bolt-on performance upgrades including turbos, intercoolers, exhaust systems, intakes, and more
• Remove and refit engines, transmissions, and major mechanical components
• Carry out significant mechanical repairs — head gaskets, clutches, timing chains, and other engine work
• Diagnose faults on performance vehicles (Japanese, Euro & American)
• Conduct servicing and general maintenance
• Provide excellent customer service at the front counter — quoting, invoicing, job cards, phone enquiries, and customer
• Work efficiently to achieve high billable hours

Skills and experience  

• Strong experience in performance vehicle modifications and mechanical repairs
• Proven ability with engine and transmission R&R work
• Solid diagnostics skills (highly regarded)
• Good customer service and communication skills — confident on the phone and face-to-face
• Trade qualified mechanic (preferred)
• Passion for performance cars, especially Japanese platforms (Skylines, FK8, BRZ, etc.)
• A driven, hard-working attitude with pride in your workmanship
• Ability to work efficiently and hit high productivity targets
