About the role
A unique role has become available with an industry leader. We are seeking a power steering specialist to join our client in Wetherill Park. This role is perfect for mechanics looking to ease of the tools as it is 100% bench work. Tools and specialist product training provided.
Duties
- Carry out Heavy vehicle power steering component diagnosis
- Rebuild power steering equipment for heavy vehicles
- Remove and repair steering gears and pumps.
- Work closely with Australian truck manufacturers
- Ensure a safe workplace is maintained.
- Follow existing quality & safety processes and procedures.
- Ability to propose alternative solutions to customers and sell them on the benefits.
- Advanced mechanical skills and aptitude.
- Understanding of heavy vehicle power steering systems and parts ideal.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Level headed.
- Able to communicate with customers on a daily basis.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to follow and develop work instructions.
- Ability and willingness to repair heavy vehicle power steering systems.
- Ideally experience with Heavy Vehicle power steering systems parts.
- Open to Light, Plant Mechanics, Hydraulic and Diesel Fitters, will consider experienced trade assistants.
- Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
- $40.00 - $50.00 per hour based on experience
- Stable long-term full-time employment
- Off street parking
- Tools provided
- Closed Two weeks over Christmas and New Year.
