About the role
Ideal for mechanics or 3rd / 4th year apprentices looking to upskill into auto electricians. Light mechanical work on trailers and caravans. Modern, clean workshop with a supportive team in place and a hands on management team. Experienced auto electricians welcome to apply.
Duties
- Carry out repairs according to manufacturing requirements.
- Replace broken or defective parts.
- Test and replace electrical components.
- Repair and replace electrical wiring.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical components for faults.
- Use special test equipment.
- Remove and replace electronic components.
- Maintain and repair braking systems.
- Our workshop’s daily processes use up-to-date technology to provide the highest level of communication between the workshop and the front of the house.
Skills and experience
- Hold a current Motor Mechanic or Auto Electrician Trade Qualification.
- Have a genuine passion for the automotive industry and a willingness to learn.
- Have a down-to-earth personality.
- Hold a current automatic/manual driver’s license.
- Be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Benefits
- Attractive Salary up to $40.50/hr for mechanics and $48/hr for auto electricians
- Monday – Friday 8 am – 4:30 pm + OT Rostered Saturdays
