About the role
Drive sales and make an impact. Work closely with existing major accounts, balance office and customer visits, solve parts challenges, and maximize your income every month.
Duties
- Manage and grow 2–4 major accounts, being the go-to person for all their parts needs.
- Interpret and source truck, trailer, and automotive parts quickly and accurately.
- Solve customer problems with expert advice and proactive solutions.
- Balance office work with customer visits to keep communication seamless.
- Drive sales by spotting opportunities and exceeding monthly targets.
- Build strong relationships that earn trust and loyalty with every interaction.
- Coordinate between the dealership and customer sites for smooth delivery.
- Stay sharp on parts knowledge and industry trends to provide informed guidance.
Skills and experience
- Deep knowledge of automotive parts with strong experience in truck and trailer parts highly valued.
- Proficient in interpreting parts catalogues, diagrams, and systems to accurately identify correct parts numbers.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills, becoming the trusted “go-to” person for major accounts.
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and driven with a positive attitude and a passion for sales.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities to handle complex account needs efficiently.
- Confident using computers for order processing, quoting, reporting, and account management.
- Valid driver’s licence with the ability to travel to customer sites as required (company vehicle provided).
Benefits
- Earn $38–$40/hr plus overtime for extra earnings.
- Receive $300–$500/month in commission on top of your base pay.
- Company vehicle provided for work travel.
- Opportunity to earn additional commission by working the counter on Saturdays (optional, ~1 hr/day).
