About the role  
Our client is seeking a motivated Sales Representative to join their team and drive expansion in the B2B space, with a strong emphasis on building the truck, fleet, and corporate segment across Australia (and potentially beyond in the future). This full-time, permanent position is based in Sydney (Moorebank area), with hybrid/flexible arrangements possible and occasional interstate travel. Reporting to the business manager, you will focus on new business development through heavy cold calling, reconnecting with lapsed customers, account management, and order processing (supported by internal admin and a dedicated sales support team member). This is a hands-on sales role in a stable, growing family business with real potential to make an impact.

  
Duties 

  • Proactively generate new business through heavy cold calling (around 50% of time), targeting fleet managers, corporate fleet teams, car dealers, FMO groups, and dealer fleet managers across Australia.
  • Reconnect with and manage existing/lapsed accounts to rebuild relationships and drive repeat business.
  • Handle daily order taking and processing (passing to support team once established), while providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Utilise tools like HubSpot for CRM, LinkedIn for basic personal outreach/advertising (with marketing manager support), and intermediate Excel/PowerPoint/CSV skills for reporting and file sharing.
  • Travel interstate occasionally for client meetings or opportunities (limited to 2–4 nights/month).
  • Contribute to personal and team sales targets through a mix of new wins and account growth (60% sales-focused, 40% admin/support with assistance available).

Skills and experience  

  • Proven sales experience, ideally in B2B environments — experience selling into fleet, corporate, automotive, or related sectors (e.g., auto accessories, parts, or technical products) highly regarded.
  • Strong cold calling and prospecting skills, with the resilience and organisation to manage a high-volume outbound role.
  • Excellent customer service orientation and communication abilities (verbal and written).
  • Mechanical/technical aptitude or background in automotive industry preferred (to understand product fit and benefits).
  • Intermediate to strong computer skills (Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV handling; HubSpot or similar CRM experience a plus).
  • Comfortable with LinkedIn for personal networking/marketing basics.
  • Full driver’s licence and willingness for occasional interstate travel.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to thrive in a family-oriented, supportive team environment without needing an existing large network (training and support provided).
