About the role  
Drive performance, lead a skilled team, and take charge of a thriving service department covering service, panel and tail lift repairs.  This is your chance to step into a leadership role where your impact is valued, your growth is supported, and your weekdays are well-balanced. 
  
Duties 

  • Lead and oversee Body Repairs, Tail Lift, and Fleet Service operations. 
  • Manage workshop staff, schedules, and job allocations. 
  • Drive performance to meet sales, productivity, and margin targets. 
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction. 
  • Support quoting, invoicing, and job documentation accuracy. 
  • Monitor KPIs and implement process improvements. 
  • Enforce safety standards and WHS compliance across all areas. 
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture. 
  • Resolve operational issues and act as escalation point. 
  • Build strong relationships with clients and promote service growth. 

Skills and experience 

  • Trade-qualified in the automotive industry. 
  • Proven experience managing a busy service workshop. 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills. 
  • In-depth understanding of fleet servicing, body repairs, and tail lift systems. 
  • Excellent knowledge of WHS standards and safe work practices. 
  • Skilled in job scheduling, quoting, budgeting, and cost control. 
  • Strong customer service and communication abilities. 
  • Ability to analyse KPIs and drive continuous improvement. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and multitasking skills. 
  • Hands-on problem solver with a proactive mindset. 
  • Commercially astute with a focus on service growth and profitability.
