Our client is an Australian family-owned and operated dealership group with over 100 years of business continuity, who are looking for an experienced Service Manager keen to join and move the business to the next level.
  
Just Automotive Recruitment is assisting in the search for a self-motivated, customer service-focused and business-oriented Manager.
  
About the role
This management role is on the market for the first time in 5 years, providing the opportunity to smoothly transition the current long term Service Manager into their retirement. In this position, you will manage and develop the service team, providing staff with leadership, training and growth. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining relationships with both new and existing local customer base, as well as brand partners to grow the business further and ensure the overall day-to-day running of the department is successful.
  
Duties

• Train service advisors to promote customer satisfaction
• Building and maintaining positive customer and employee relationships
• Generate and continually strive to increase labour sales
• Communicating with all other dealership managers to ensure KPIs and objectives are achieved for the overall business
• Handling customer concerns and complaints that demand managers’ attention with prompt solution-based outcomes
• Ensure that all required technical publications, periodicals, bulletins etc are obtained, kept up to date and properly maintained
• Monitor the effective labour sales rate continuously
• Maintain a high level of shop cleanliness, equipment repair and general shop appearance

Skills and experience

• Truck or heavy vehicle experience > 3 years
• Well-developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
• Leadership and people management skills
• Proven experience in a similar role, supervising a team
• Have a high-level knowledge of service department processes, policies, and procedures in a franchised dealership.
• You will be joining a Service and Management team that will support you in achieving your goals.
