Our client is a well-known one-stop shop for all Diesel needs with 50+ years of experience in the industry. Just Automotive Recruitment is assisting in the search for a self-motivated, customer service-focused and business-oriented Service Manager
About the role
To deliver excellent customer service combined with efficient management of the workshop. It is expected to take responsibility and maintain a versatile approach to daily business
Duties
- Monitor and assist with all duties required in the workshop
- Schedule and distribute work orders
- Maintain, service and repair heavy vehicles as per the daily requirements
- Setting and obtaining business productivity goals
- Monitoring and managing quality standards and adhering to policies and procedure
- Working with clients to achieve the best possible solutions
- Updating and quoting customers on repairs required and progress reports
- Communicating work completed
Skills and experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in service or workshop department leadership
- Essential experience in the truck industry and mechanical aptitude
- Light Vehicle experience may be considered
- Mechanical trade qualification highly regarded
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and workshop compliance
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on effective communication
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities
- Dedication to continuous improvement, driving innovation and efficiency
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with a knack for motivating teams and upholding a positive work environment.
- Leadership and people management skills
