About the role  
As a Service Technician, you’ll get hands-on with a variety of restoration equipment from carpet cleaners to dehumidifiers tackling both mechanical and light electrical work. This is a steady, full-time role with no overtime, a competitive salary, and the chance to grow your skills in a supportive workshop environment. Duties 

• Servicing, maintaining, and repairing carpet cleaning machines, dehumidifiers, air movers, and related restoration equipment  
• Performing fault-finding, diagnostics, and basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting  
• Handling restricted electrical work such as replacing motors, control panels, and carrying out basic electrical testing 
• Carrying out appliance repairs and mechanical tasks, taking equipment apart and reassembling as needed  
• Assembling and testing equipment before dispatch  
• Keeping accurate records of maintenance and repair activities  
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment  
• Collaborating with customers to ensure they get the most from their equipment  
• Working closely with an experienced senior mechanic and supporting day-to-day workshop operations. 

Skills and experience 

• Strong mechanical aptitude and a knack for hands-on technical work 
• Previous experience in a workshop, technician, or service/repair role 
• Basic electrical knowledge, including replacing motors, control panels, and performing simple testing 
• Ability to interpret manuals and technical documentation 
• Good problem-solving skills with a practical, “fix-it” mindset 
• A positive, team-oriented attitude with solid communication skills 
• Good time management and attention to detail 
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
