About the role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable spray painter to join the team, working with modern equipment and processes this is a great opportunity to join a close knit team in a key role with a business that recognises and values quality workmanship.
Duties
- Carry out high-quality smash repairs on light to medium damaged vehicles
- Complete panel repairs including quarter panels and general body repairs (no rollovers or heavy structural work)
- Read and interpret job sheets accurately and complete repairs independently
- Move seamlessly from one job to the next without the need for close supervision
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, finish, and attention to detail
- Follow workshop systems and processes using iBodyshop and the digital job board
Skills and experience
- Trade qualified and experienced painter with proven smash repair experience
- Strong all-round panel repair skills with the ability to work autonomously
- Open to a range of backgrounds, from independent panel shops to large corporate body repairers
- Ability to manage time effectively and maintain consistent workflow
- High level of pride in workmanship and commitment to quality over volume
- Comfortable using computer-based job management systems
- Reliable, team-oriented attitude with good communication skills
Benefits
- $50/hr for experienced tradesmen.
- Monday–Thursday 7:30am–4:30pm, Friday finish at 12pm.
- Opportunity for 4–5 hours of overtime per week.
- Friendly, collaborative team with training provided and no rigid hierarchy.
