About the role 
Our client is seeking a qualified spray painter with some light panel beating skills (training available if required) to complete rectification work on multiple landmark developments across Sydney CBD. This is an excellent opportunity to join an industry showing no sign of slowing down and will allow the successful candidate to put their name to some of the most iconic construction projects Sydney has seen for decades. This is an ideal role for someone newly qualified looking to build a career and likewise more experienced candidates seeking a change from the usual panel shop environment. Duties 

• Carry out rectification works on aluminium panels, including:  
  • Minor dents and scratches 
  • Surface preparation (boarding and sanding)  
  • Painting and finishing to a high standard · 
• Use a company-provided iPad to:  
  • Photograph defects  
  • Record completed rectification work o 
  • Maintain clear site documentation  
• Work across Sydney CBD projects, typically spending around 6 months per site, with occasional movement between projects  
• Liaise with on-site Project Managers (reporting lines depend on the project)  
• Maintain a high level of workmanship and attention to detail on premium commercial builds  
• Work as part of a small on-site team (usually 2 employees per site)  
• Ensure tools and equipment stored on-site are used and maintained correctly 

Skills and experience 

• Completed trade apprenticeship (panel beating, automotive refinishing, painting, or similar background)  
• Open to candidates looking for a change from traditional workshop-based roles  
• Strong interest in painting and surface finishing (panel beating experience is beneficial but not essential) 
• Comfortable working on construction sites and following site safety requirements  
• Basic digital skills (comfortable using an iPad for photos and reporting)  
• Reliable, professional, and able to take pride in high-quality finish work  
• Based in Sydney and willing to work primarily within the CBD
