About the role
Provide hands-on technical support and training to trade customers in the automotive and industrial refinishing sector.
Duties
- Provide technical support and training to trade customers across the automotive and industrial refinishing sector
- Assist with installation and setup of paint systems, ensuring smooth handover and correct usage
- Troubleshoot and resolve product issues, including colour matching, primers, application techniques, and compatibility
- Conduct on-site demonstrations of new products, tools, and systems
- Work closely with the sales team to support customer retention and help convert new business with strong technical backing
- Act as the go-to contact for technical enquiries and post-sale support
- Help customers get the most out of their product range through ongoing coaching, product advice, and hands-on support
- Stay current with product developments, industry trends, and training methods
- Travel regularly across your assigned territory to support client needs on-site
Skills and experience
- Trade-qualified spray painter with minimum 6+ years hands-on experience in panel shops or refinishing.
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive paint systems, colour matching, primers, clears, and preparation processes
- Confident in diagnosing and solving product or application issues on-site
- Excellent communicator who can explain technical concepts clearly to both experienced tradespeople and new users
- Experience in training, mentoring, or product demonstrations highly regarded
- Looking to step away from the tools while still using your trade knowledge in a support-focused role
- Comfortable working independently and travelling across Greater Western Sydney and surrounds
- Valid driver’s licence and strong work ethic
- Professional, organised, and customer-focused approach
