About the role
We are seeking both Pre delivery technicians/accessory fitters and experienced mechanics to join the well established team. The dealership is multi franchise and primarily represents Japanese brands, so experience in this area would be beneficial but not essential. In addition, a busy used car department is also on site, adding variety to the workday and the opportunity to work on and grow your skill set with a range of different makes and models.
Apprentices with some experience also invited to apply.
Duties
- Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to manufacturer standards.
- Install accessories and perform fit-outs on new vehicles.
- Conduct routine servicing, mechanical repairs, and maintenance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults efficiently.
- Work across various makes and models, including used vehicles.
- Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed.
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure timely vehicle delivery.
Skills and experience
- Mechanical knowledge for repairs and servicing
- Experience fitting vehicle accessories
- Familiarity with pre-delivery inspections (PDIs)
- Strong attention to detail
- Good problem-solving ability
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Efficient time management
