About the role
Just Automotive Recruitment is seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join a busy workshop in Alexandria, NSW, servicing and repairing a wide range of heavy vehicles and specialised equipment.
Duties
- Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance, including A, B and C services.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and occasional hydraulic faults using OEM diagnostic equipment.
- Complete pre-delivery inspections, fit-outs, and accessory installations on new trucks.
- Carry out major mechanical repairs, including engine replacements and component rebuilds.
- Maintain high safety and quality standards while working collaboratively with the workshop team.
Skills and experience
- Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic.
- Experience servicing and repairing heavy commercial vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills using OEM diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with European truck brands is highly regarded.
- Current driver’s license (HR license advantageous) with a positive, team-focused attitude.

- Earn $55 per hour with overtime penalty rates and optional Saturday overtime.
- Flexible start and finish times with a minimum 38-hour work week.
- Optional Saturday shifts (every second Saturday, 7am–12pm) for extra earning potential.
