We’re recruiting a Truck Body Welder / Fabricator for a reputable workshop currently based in Wetherill Park, soon relocating to Rossmore. About the role
This full-time, permanent position offers a great work environment that’s clean, tidy, and non-repetitive. You’ll be involved in various aspects of truck body building, welding, and fabrication.
Duties
- Fabricating and welding truck chassis and bodies to customer specifications
- Interpreting technical drawings
- Fabricating factory tippers
- Welding and fitting towbars
- Dismantling and assembly work in a mechanical workshop setting Operating specialised welding and metalworking equipment with precision
Skills and experience
- Experience in Sheetmetal or Fabrication
- Proficiency in TIG and/or MIG welding
- Strong mechanical Knowledg
- Reading Technical Drawings advantageous
- Ability to measure, mark, and cut accurately from drawings or self-designed plans
- A meticulous attention to detail and pride in your work
- A current driver’s license (preferred but not mandatory)
