Duties
- Trade qualification ESSENTIAL!
- Experience as a Diesel mechanic advantageous
- Experience on cars, 4WDs (SUVs), light & medium commercial vehicles of European, Japanese and Korean manufacturers
- Experience in a medium to large workshop in the automotive industry
- Friendly, attention to detail, dependable, thoroughness, effective verbal communication, motivated, team player, organised, self motivated, work autonomously
Skills and experience
- Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests
- Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, faulty parts
- Complete vehicle test drive after works completed
- Comply with manufacturers, federal and state vehicle requirements
- Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions
- Participate in educational opportunities
- Perform general tasks such as cleaning and maintaining of facilities and equipment
- Comply with all OHS and other workplace safety
