About the role 
Just Automotive Recruitment is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join a growing workshop team. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to work across a varied fleet of trucks and heavy equipment in a stable day-shift environment with ongoing overtime available. 
  
Duties 

• Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy vehicles and fleet equipment 
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults 
• Complete rebuilds on components including transmissions, differentials, and clutches 
• Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards 
• Work collaboratively with the workshop team to maintain fleet reliability and minimise downtime 

Skills and experience 

• Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic or relevant trade certification 
• Proven experience working on heavy vehicles, trucks, or mobile plant equipment 
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities 
• Experience with electric-over-hydraulic systems highly regarded 
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment

• Up to $60 ph + OT (1.5x for the first 3 hours, double time thereafter) 
• Mon – Fri from approximately 7am with consistent OT opportunities
