About the role
Just Automotive Recruitment is searching for a Light Vehicle Mechanic to join a small workshop team in Taren Point, NSW. This role suits a skilled mechanic who enjoys hands-on diagnostic work, complex repairs, and delivering quality results.
Duties
- Carry out routine servicing and major vehicle services.
- Perform diagnostic testing and identify mechanical faults.
- Complete engine repairs, including oil leak repairs.
- Remove and replace transmissions and undertake larger mechanical jobs.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship while collaborating with the workshop team.
Skills and experience
- Previous experience as a Light Vehicle Mechanic.
- European vehicle servicing or repair experience is highly regarded.
- Experience in independent workshops or dealerships is welcome.
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills, including engine and transmission work.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn and pride in delivering quality workmanship.
Benefits
- $45–$50 per hour, depending on experience.
- Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, including a one-hour lunch break.
- 2 hours of guaranteed overtime per week.
