About the role  
Just Automotive Recruitment is searching for a Heavy Vehicle Truck and Trailer Shift Supervisor in NSW. This role combines hands-on heavy vehicle maintenance with team leadership, helping coordinate workshop activities and ensure trucks and trailers remain safe, reliable and road-ready. 
  
Duties 

• Supervise and coordinate workshop technicians to ensure efficient daily operations and timely completion of repairs. 
• Carry out and oversee scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and safety inspections on trucks and trailers. 
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults across a diverse fleet. 
• Monitor repair quality, conduct post-repair testing and ensure compliance with heavy vehicle safety standards. 
• Maintain accurate service records, promote safe workshop practices and communicate effectively with management. 

Skills and experience  

• Proven experience in heavy vehicle truck and trailer maintenance and repairs. 
• Strong diagnostic skills across diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension and driveline components. 
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a workshop environment. 
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and heavy vehicle standards. 
• Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate workloads and support a team.
