Our client is a reputable Australian manufacturer and installer of heavy vehicle equipment, known for delivering quality products such as skip loaders, hook lifts, and tarping systems to clients across the country. About the role
You will be responsible for fitting, wiring, and servicing heavy vehicle equipment including skip loaders, hook lifts, and tarping systems, with a strong focus on electric-over-hydraulic systems.
Duties
- Install and service heavy vehicle equipment — skip loaders, hook lifts, tarping and hydraulic systems
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and electric-over-hydraulic systems, including wiring, solenoids, and controls
- Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Carry out minor engine and chassis attachment work (mainly fitting and maintenance)
- Perform testing, fault finding, and preventive maintenance on equipment and attachments
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
Skills and experience
- No specific qualification required – all mechanical backgrounds considered
- Experience with hydraulic systems and fault diagnosis beneficial
- Competent with electrical wiring / control systems (electric-over-hydraulic)
- Hands-on mechanical and fitting skills; basic fabrication/welding an advantage
- Ability to read schematics and work independently
- Current driver’s license; safety-focused and reliable
