Family owned and operated business specialising in freight and logistics with branches in NSW, Victoria and QLD with a large fleet of vehicles is looking for a Truck and Trailer Mechanic to look after the workshop team.
The Job:
- Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm, occasional Saturday
- Assess, diagnose and carry out repairs as necessary
- Mainly service, maintenance and small repairs
- Leading hand looking after 3 + techs
- Road testing, inspections and reporting
- Organising parts
- Opening and closing job cards
- Scheduling workload
- 60% on the tools
- Some breakdown work / coordinating breakdown mechanics (Sydney metro only)
- Complete all required paper work
- Trade qualified heavy vehicle mechanic
- Leading hand experience
- Organised with good computer skills
- Understanding of WH&S
- Ability to allocate & prioritise workload
- Fleet maintenance experience would be ideal
- HR & forklift licence an advantage
- Good communication skills both verbal & written
- The ability to work competently when unsupervised
