Our client is a local business with a strong customer base and plenty of work. Due to growth, they are looking to take on a Workshop Manager to join them in Botany, NSW.
About the role
Are you a skilled truck mechanic with leadership experience? We’re seeking a dynamic individual to join the team as a Truck Workshop Manager. This role offers an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership position in a bustling workshop.
Duties
- Supervise and guide the workshop team of 15 to ensure efficient operations.
- Allocate tasks to mechanics and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
- Quality control all work coming out of the Workshop.
- Invoicing and liaising with customers.
- Professional ability to deal with Manufacturers.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to maintain high standards.
- Assist in hands-on mechanical tasks as needed (20% of the role).
Skills and experience
- Proven experience as a qualified truck mechanic.
- Experience with Mercedes Benz, Fuso or Freightliner Trucks is highly desirable.
- Leadership or supervisory experience essential.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
