Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality TIG and MIG welding, primarily on aluminium up to 3mm thickness
- Fabricate and assemble truck body and ute tray products
- Complete welding in flat, horizontal and overhead positions as required
- Operate workshop tools and machinery including saws, milling equipment, measuring tools and general fabrication equipment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accuracy in fabrication and assembly
- Carry out tube fabrication and general metalwork as part of daily production
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work area in line with workshop standards
- Work collaboratively with the production team to meet quality and output targets
Requirements
- Trade qualified Welder / Fabricator (essential)
- Proven experience in TIG and MIG welding, ideally with aluminium
- Confident working with workshop machinery, hand tools and measuring equipment
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Tube fabrication experience highly regarded
- Current driver’s licence
- LF forklift licence advantageous
- Strong attention to detail, reliability and a practical, safety-first approach
