About the role
Just Automotive Recruitment is searching for a Senior Parts Interpreter to support a busy commercial vehicle workshop in Willawong, QLD.
Duties
- Interpret and supply commercial vehicle parts using OEM catalogues and EPC systems
- Identify parts using VIN, engine numbers, and technical breakdowns
- Support workshop technicians with accurate parts identification and technical advice
- Ensure timely supply of parts to minimise vehicle downtime
- Prioritise urgent breakdown and workshop requirements
- Process quotes, orders, and backorders accurately
- Liaise with suppliers to source and confirm parts availability and lead times
- Maintain accurate records in ERP / parts management systems
- Work closely with workshop teams, service advisors, and controllers
- Support stock management and inventory accuracy
Skills and experience
- Strong experience in commercial vehicle or heavy automotive parts interpretation
- Ability to use OEM parts catalogues and electronic parts systems (EPCs)
- Solid understanding of heavy vehicle systems (engine, driveline, hydraulics, braking systems)
- Experience in a workshop, dealership, or fleet maintenance environment
- Strong technical ability to read diagrams and identify correct components
- Experience with ERP or inventory systems (e.g. SAP, Autoline, Epicor or similar)
- High attention to detail and accuracy in parts identification
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced workshop environment
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Reliable, proactive, and customer/service-focused approach
