About the role
Join a dynamic team as a Workshop Foreman, where you’ll lead and inspire skilled technicians to deliver exceptional service. Reporting to the Service Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the daily workflow, ensuring quality control, and providing hands-on guidance. This role is essential in maintaining high standards in service and safety, ultimately ensuring customers’ satisfaction and safety on the road.
Duties
- Assist technicians with complex diagnoses and repairs
- Conduct road tests and quality control inspections
- Facilitate regular toolbox meetings and keep clear communication across departments
- Support WHS standards and procedures in the workshop
- Mentor and train staff, including apprentices and junior technicians
- Collaborate closely with Service Advisors and the Service Manager on job allocation
Skills and experience
- Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Auto Electrician (essential)
- Proven experience as a Senior Technician or Foreman
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- HR truck license (required)
- Excellent time management, communication, and mentoring abilities
- Safety and customer-focused with attention to detail
