About the role
Heavy Vehicle Mechanics needed for Service and Repair work will consider light vehicle techs. Day and afternoon shifts available, $35.00 – $40.00 p/h + 17%-18% Shift loading
Who is encouraged to Apply:
- Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
- Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanics looking to upskill (Qual qualification paid for and study days paid!)
- Trade Assistants with mechanical aptitude
Duties
- Reporting directly to the workshop controller/foreman
- Some customer communication regarding technical issues
- Carry out all Service and Repairs efficiently whilst maintaining high standard of workmanship
- Carry out electrical and mechanical diagnostics
- Recording job cards accurately and carry out correct warranty repair procedures
- Ensure all repair times are recorded accurately
- Keep and maintain a safe working bay
- Help mentor and train apprentices when possible
Skills and experience
- Heavy vehicle qualification, or Light vehicle technician qualification is essential
- Ability to work unsupervised and also work well in a team environment
- HR license is preferred however not essential
- Ability to problem-solve
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Benefits
- AM Shift – 7:30am – 3:30pm
- PM Shift – 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- $35.00 – $40.00 p/h + 17%-18% Shift loading
