Truck Mechanic – Eastern Creek, NSW

About the role
Get hands-on with a mix of trucks (mostly Japanese), handle services & small repairs—no engines, no gearboxes, no Saturdays! Workshop-based & busy!
Duties
- Service and repair a variety of trucks (mainly Japanese).
- Handle clutches and minor mechanical fixes.
- No engine or gearbox rebuilds—ever.
- All work is workshop-based—no field jobs.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance.
- Keep repair logs clear and updated.
- On-call for Saturday breakdowns (double time paid).
- Follow safety procedures at all times.
Skills and experience
- Solid experience servicing Japanese trucks
- Skilled in diagnostics and minor repairs
- Hands-on workshop experience
- Able to read and follow service manuals
- Good problem-solving and attention to detail
- Reliable, hardworking, and safety-focused
- Trade qualification or relevant certification preferred
- Previous experience in a fast-paced workshop a bonus
- Some call out/breakdown work required
