About the role  
Already a foreman or experienced mechanic looking to make the next step, we want to hear from you. Lead from the front, ensuring high quality of work and maintain communication between workshop and front of house teams. Split your time 50/50 between leadership and mechanical duties.

Duties 

  • Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency 
  • Split duties: 50% hands-on diagnostics and truck repairs, 50% team supervision 
  • Lead a team of 7 mechanics—keep them busy, efficient, and producing quality work 
  • Act as the communication bridge between the workshop and the office 
  • Uphold dealership standards for service, quality, and customer satisfaction 
  • Work closely with Fixed Operations, Service Advisor, and Parts Team 
  • Focused primarily on truck servicing—minimal work outside of trucks 

Skills and experience 

  • Qualified Truck Mechanic with strong diagnostic and repair skills
  • Proven experience in a dealership or high-volume workshop environment 
  • Ready to step up into a leadership role while remaining hands-on 
  • Strong team leadership and people management skills 
  • Confident in workshop planning, quality control, and efficiency checks
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise between workshop and office staff 
  • Ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting 
  • Experience managing fleet servicing is an advantage
